Weekend off

This is for Maggie's benefit. I don't really have much to say. I'm at camp its hot during the day and freezing cold at night. this area reminds me of Tahoe without the lake. The camp itself could have nicer quarters for staff but other than that its fine. We get weekends off and we go out dinner and movies as a group since most people don't have cars. on Wednesdays they make us sleep outside with no tents or mattreses on the sports field, that is filled with gopher holes and rocks. thursday morning we woke up and saw a gophers making a new hole about 50 feet away. It was cute but it looked pissed because all its holes were covered up.

first week

We had our first week with little ones. I'm very proud I didn't hurt any of them and I survived. last night we went to dinner and to see Sex and The City, it was freaking long. Last night we went cosmic bowling, and I officially suck at bowling but whatever. I only bowled a 27. it was a good time. Now Im getting ready for new kids to arrive.

To answer your question Christine, no I have not fallen off the face of the earth I have been busy. I have zero cell phone service up on this mountain. I just got all your texts at midnight AZ time after we saw Narnia. (Not my favorite) I couldn't answer them though because I was on my way out and had to drive 3 Aussies back to camp.

The international staff arrived today! as of this post I have only met and hung out with the three girls from Australia. They are really nice fun. they even went out to the movie with a bunch of us instead of sleeping. we were very surprised. oh and they love love love our accents and they told us we talk funny but they love that we have accents. It was funny because we have to keep asking them what they are talking about.

Our camp Nurse person turned 21 about an hour ago and the people that could go to the bars are taking her out right now. and they are going to take me out next week. probably on Saturday which is close enough to my birthday I guess.

camp is really fun the last three days I have been paid for playing with horses its great.
tomorrow I have to help check in staff and training begins. then in a week campers get here.

Oh I don't know if any of you have checked the weather but it is freezing cold here and all day it rained hailed and snowed. I guess we were supposed to get 7-12 inches but that did not happen. But because of all the rain our fire ban has been lifted and because we passed inspection today.
so much for AZ being hot and dry.

Camp

So I just got to camp. Im really early no one else is getting here until Saturday afternoon. I get to stay in the airconditioned staff house that has wifi until then. I think Im just going to bum around town and shop until then. Idk.

Finals week

Finals are stupid! and I am not a morning person! That's all I have to say about that.

Fish

So this is going to make me sound like a horrible person, but we have this fish York that has not been doing to well for like 2 months and we have been waiting for him to die (we thought about flushing him but didn't want to). He finally died, woohoo! We felt bad for him cause he couldn't really swim all that well, he wasn't eating and he was being bullied by our other fish. we've just been watching the tank waiting for him pass. He was our first fish, a good fish, a fish that will be missed.

see I said I would sound like a bad person. oh well

This weekend my roomates and I had a nice little tailgate party in our apt parkinglot which pissed off the neighbors (success!), then we headed over to the Spring game which was really boring and uneventful. Other than that I want school to be over! only 4 more weeks, then I leave for my job in AZ!
